First Passive House in Los Angeles


PARAVANT Architects has designed the first new construction Passive House in Los Angeles. The project has received the Pre-Construction Certification and is now under construction in Culver City, CA.

The term passive house (Passivhaus in German) refers to a rigorous, standard for energy efficiency in a building, reducing its ecological footprint. It results in ultra-low energy building that require little energy for space heating or cooling.

American Four Square Los Angeles

PARAVANT Architects designed a modern interpretation of an American Four Square multifamily residence. The two story building is located in close proximity to the University of California (USC) campus and is part of the University Park Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) Los Angeles City Planning Department, Office of Historic Resources. During the HPOZ public hearing this week the board members approved the certificate of appropriateness.

THE WENDE MUSEUM | GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

On September 10th, 2016 The Wende Museum, its board of directors and the City of Culver City celebrated the groundbreaking of the Armory, the Museum’s new home. The event took place in front of the new main entrance to the new museum campus designed by PARAVANT Architects and consultants. This gathering of contributor’s marks the starting point for the transformation of this building.
