"Pavilion Formosa" the joint workshop between PARAVANT Architects and National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan was published in the March 2012 issue of Taiwan Architecture Magazine. Eight teams of students were tasked to design a pavilion, located along Santa Monica’s beach, which could introduce Taiwanese culture to Southern California. The various design proposals dealt with ideas of urban living, density of society, the threshold of public to private space, Asian history, time and spaces of social interaction.

PARAVANT Architects in TAIWAN

PARAVANT Architects will be speaking at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, on the 29th and 30th of this month.

PARAVANT Architects will also lead the international workshop "Pavilion Formosa" in the Department of Architecture from November 28th to December 2nd, 2011.

Passive House "two" | Passiv Haus "Zwei"


PARAVANT Architects in Los Angeles, California is proposing it's second house using the "European Passive House Technology". Passive House II  is a two bedroom, two bath single family residence with a detached carport. During the hot summer month a movable sun protection louver screen is shading the glazed winter garden. During the cooler month the glazed area is used to heat the building.
