This book demonstrates how the Passive House Standard provides a reliable and well-documented path to construct and renovate buildings to meet our State’s Net Zero Energy targets. 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF THE BERLIN WALL
Twenty five years ago the Berlin Wall fell. Even after a quarter century the events of November 1989 are still very fresh. I remember watching in Berlin the famous international press conference unfolding live on the East German television channel initiating the fall of the wall in the same night. I will never forget being at Checkpoint Charlie that historic day. Berlin and the two Germanys were overcome with a euphoria of joy.
The new Wende Museum in Culver City, California is a project very near to our hearts, as all three of our partners were in Berlin or Germany during this turning point. It is a great honor for us at PARAVANT Architects to be part of the Wende Museum and to be invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. We would like to thank The Wende Museum, the City of Culver City, the German Consulate and TASCHEN for hosting this great event.
